me I Make Crazy Look Good

Random musings of a Disney lover. Disney, Doctor Who, and a lot of things.
So I finally did this. I have Alopecia. It’s a thing that happens when your immune system goes wonky and mistakenly attacks hair follicles. Usually just in the scalp (or the rare form that attacks all over). It started back about April/juneish I believe. I noticed a small spot in the back of my head. It’s spread over the lower back half of my scalp, plus around the temples, and a few spots on the top of the scalp. For those of you who’ve noticed that I’ve been wearing wigs, this is why. But I’ve finally just done away with what was left of my hair, as I’m starting a treatment that involves putting a solution on my scalp that’s supposed to help the hair growth. It’s easier when there’s no hair. Plus now I don’t have I deal with longish strands coming out when I’m brushing thru my hair and whatnot. And this is me finally actually telling people about it. Aside from maybe cryptic “read more” posts. Plus I’m finally feeling better about it and coming to terms with it.
